Sometimes a child becomes a full blown substance abuser or addict of some kind. But then there is the covert side that may affect the other siblings. They may not abuse substances, but have the mood swings and temperament of an abuser. And then if this wasn't confusing enough, some children may not have any of these. However, the bad news is that they still carry the gene and will pass it on the the next generation.
